Where are you? When are you open?
It’s ice cream that’s made from scratch by pastry chefs instead of by machines in a factory. Everything we serve is made in small batches by hand in our shop. If you stop by early in the day, you may be able to see it being made! To us, we chose to make everything from scratch ourselves because we want to offer unmatched quality, unique and suprising flavors, and use simple and clean ingredients.
What is handcrafted ice cream?
Do you have anything gluten-free? Dairy-Free? Vegan?
We have plenty to offer guests with a variety of allergy and dietary needs. Every flavor label lists potential allergens such as wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, etc. If you let us know what your needs are, our team can steer you in the right direction.
We introduce a handful of new products every month. Subscribe to our newsletter here to get notified of what’s coming up soon, and what flavors are being retired. If you have a favorite flavor that’s retiring, don’t worry too much—It will likely return in the future.
How often do you change flavors?
Depends on the product. You can order beverages online for pickup. We don’t currently offer online ordering for ice cream, though if that changes in the future, we’ll announce it!
Can I order online?
Sprinkles are a program that rewards our most loyal guests. Earn Sprinkles for every item purchased, save up, then redeem them for discounts. You can view details of the program and enroll here.
What are Sprinkles?
Do you offer free samples?
We offer samples for guests who have made a purchase. Once you have ordered a scoop, we will put a sample of whatever flavor you want on top… But yes that does mean the sample isn’t free.
Hold up… why??
Our ice cream is made from scratch using premium ingredients by talented pastry chefs. I place a high value on the work our team puts in, and I want your experience to reflect the full spirit of what makes handcrafted ice cream unique and special. That’s why we don’t offer it for free; but if you’re torn between flavors, we’re happy to split a scoop or offer recommendations to make sure you leave with something you love.
So I have to order something before I can taste anything?
That’s correct. We ask that you place an order so we have something to put the sample on. We don’t offer a taster spoon by itself.
But how am I supposed to know what I want if I can’t taste till after I order?
Exploring a lot of new flavors is certainly part of the fun. We do offer flights and split scoops so you can try multiple flavors at once. We have labeled each flavor carefully so take a look and select the ones that sound best to you; just like ordering off a menu. There aren’t wrong answers and there aren’t high stakes!
What if I don’t like it?
We feel confident that you’ll love our ice cream. BUT, if your first pick isn’t what you hoped for, we’ll switch you out to a different flavor—absolutely no worries.
But every other shop does offer free samples though?
I hear you—and if Ripples was like every other shop, we would also do the same. But consider this: all of our products are made from scratch by skilled pastry chefs. What other ice cream shop does the same?
We’re proud to offer offer a level of quality, a variety of creative flavors, and a clean ingredient profile that is simply unmatched compared to other shops. In fact, Ripples is more similar to a restaurant than to a conventional scoop shop… and how often do you ask the waiter for a free sample of steak when you’re at a restaurant?
